Review of American Gigolo (1980) by Barry P — 13 Oct 2009
It's well made and I like the fact that the director tries to do these bunch of visual things (like the whole deal with the clothes, and the car and the POV) but it's a little bit dated. The first half of the movie is kinda boring, I mean, it's visual but it goes too soft on the characters, they're dark but they can be a lot darker.
Now the second half is pretty good but, then again, he should've been tougher with them. In the end it was fun, I liked the music and Richard Gere is not a very good actor.
