What the hell is this ?!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I found paul schrader is the one behind this film, is it possible this is the same paul schrader who had done writing in 'taxi driver, 'raging bull', and other works with scorsese?

Or maybe he is just simply unable to cope making a movie on his own? but if that's so at least the movie have something interesting to offer.,.

I dont know, I simply dont know, because this film's plot, for me, is very common, nothing special, very unlike him, and the whole packaging is very mediocre, nothing great, nothing worth to remember.,.

Or maybe this is simply the other paul schrader, who coincidentally have the exact same name (i know this is stupid, but I couldn't find another answer that make sense to me)..
