I loved how this movie actually told the story of Frank Lucas and Richie Roberts. Alot of movies would've shown all the people that died along the way and some storyline. Denzel Washington is solid as usual, what's new haha.
As for Russell Crowe he's fantastic! He isn't selling drugs, ripping off the mafia or killing people like Lucas but he's just as compelling if not more. Oh and Josh Brolin is outstanding in a supporting role, he stole every scene in my eyes.
The movie could've been tightened up a little bit but I thought it was great either way.
