Review of American Gangster (2007) by Austin B — 12 Jan 2012

I finally got a chance to see both versions of the movie (theatrical and unrated) and I enjoyed both versions just the same. The unrated is longer and the differences between the two are small with the ending being the big difference.

Both leading actors gave great performances and this movie is a great character piece (as I see it). If you were expecting an all out gun fight, you need to look else where although the raid at the end was intense.
