Review of American Gangster (2007) by Isaac H — 11 Sep 2012
Solid performances by Washington and Crowe, with a gritty perception of Harlem that seeps into the viewer's veins. The storytelling may not be as sharp, but there is no disputing Scott's bold direction, nor the pitch-perfect work of the cast in making a believable 70s crime drama.
