Review of American Gangster (2007) by Sanjaya P — 22 Sep 2012
American Gangster is a film concerning a Harlem drug kingpin who smuggles heroin into the country by hiding it in the bodies of U.S. soldiers killed during battle in Vietnam. This is a good film, but sometimes feels longer than it should be.
Now I am not going to say that this is a bad film, but its not really a great film either. The whole cast does a great job in all their parts. The only complaint I have with the film is that at some points I found myself getting lost in the Mammoth size story.
In the end if the editor would have tighten up the story just a little more I think this would have been a better film.
