Review of American Gangster (2007) by Robert I — 22 Jan 2013
Not the "Virtuosity 2" we all wanted. Good, not great. Bad story problems on Crowe's end, serious pacing issues as in most Ridley Scott movies, and a weak sauce ending. Do yourself a favor and rent "Scarface".
(3/14): Saw the unrated 3 hour cut. No better, no worse than the theatrical. Happier ending added, but, hey, we like those... I think?
