Saw this again on 13/9/15.
I absolutely hated American Gangster when I saw it six years before. Well, on watching again, my opinion has obviously changed. The film benefits from Ridley Scott's strong direction and the true story behind it. American Gangster surprisingly has even pacing, neither too good, nor too slow. Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe gives good performances, but the film does not give them enough scope to produce performances out match their other best ones.
