Review of American Gangster (2007) by Spencer S — 01 Aug 2011

For my money Ridley Scott has made more bad movies than good, but when he gets it right he really gets it right. This one was fun, well acted and entertaining all the way through. The last couple minutes rang false and it seems disingenuous to add text showing what happened next at the end of such a completely fictionalized movie but as pure entertainment it gets 4 stars.
