Review of American Flyers (1985) by Sara — 28 Jul 2004

It was cute, I didn't like Costner that much in it, but David Grant was hot. It was awfully predictable, though entertaining. The parts I liked were the race scenes in the Rockies. I rented the movie mostly for Bob, because he's from Denver, and he's a huge cycling fan.

With our netflix, we take turns, we watch eachothers picks, and its a lot of fun, he sits through my cheesey chick flicks (some which he loved) and he's turned me on the a lot of great classic which I would otherwise never see. But I also like made him watch more "macho" stuff too. I think the movie he liked so far the best was The Green Mile.

We waited over two weeks for netflix to deliver Roger & Me, because everyone wantsd to see Michael Moore movies, damn bandwagon... whait, I think we're on it. We're going to watch it tonight.

This weekend, poor Bob is going to watch Joy Luck Club. I don't care what people say, that movie inspired me, I'd watch it to help me draw strength to leave my ex-husband. Really.

I talked to my boyfriend last night about the whole bike thing and he says I should just go along with it but tell him how I feel. Sam with my sister making fun of my problems.

I've been friends with my sister's husband for 6 years, I even introduced him to his wife, my sister.

This puts a damper on things and I'll let him know, in fact I'm going to email them both today and let then know how I felt about 1) them making fun of and trivializing my feelings and friends and 2) The assuming ownership of my bike frame (its a 96 Specialized Stumpjumper, comp series) that he GAVE to me three years ago in exchange for my handheald TV violates my trust and our friendship.
