Review of American Dreamz (2006) by Sabrina T — 04 Jan 2008

After hearing a summary from a friend, i'm not so interested anymore..

My first label of this movie is "Not Interested" since a friend of mine told me it's not worth it. And actually, something about the Z in Dreamz, made me think twice already.

And so, one faithful night, I happen to see my cousins watching it on HBO. Not wanting to judge the movie without actually seeing it, I sat down with them and watch it as well.

It was pretty much a parody and a satire of reality shows and dumb presidents. and sometimes I found it a bit racist to Middle Easterners.

I feel the movie would've been a bit (just a bit!) better, if they did it in all out comedy. Because American Dreamz, especially the ending, just became, well... dumb. I pity everyone who paid to watch this on cinema.

I love the gay cousin though! two stars for him!
