Review of American Dreamz (2006) by Rachel L — 25 Jun 2008
A pretty funny satire. A few things: Hugh Grant's opening was utterly pointless, the president was hilarious, Omer, the terrorists, and his family were the best parts of the whole movie, Mandy Moore and Hugh Grant's characters were highly unlikeable, it was nice to see Chris Klein come out from whatever rock he's been living under, and it had possibly one of the worst (in terms of living up to the rest of the movie) and anti-climatic endings I've seen lately.
It was building up for this huge epilogue and then BAM it just dies. Almost like "Well, we have this bizarre ending to tie up...aw screw it we just won't even try, I mean we got this far okay why even bother making a good epilogue?" Other than that it wasn't too terrible.
