Review of American Dreamz (2006) by Greg K — 14 Jan 2010
Overall a juvenile letdown. Imagine a spinoff of American Idol released on television and a film made to tell the story, American Dreamz is little more. Hugh Grant ruins the majority of the run time with his poor acting, though his character wouldn't have a lot of potential with anyone filling its' shoes.
One plus: Mandy Moore is fairly cute and does well as Sally, though that character is again designed around the shallow plot that engulfs the entire work.
