Review of American Beauty (1999) by Jordan B — 23 Jul 2012

This movie truly affected my outlook on life the first time I saw it 9 years ago and it still gets me to this day. It's a truly original and daring film and one of the few best picture winners to actually deserve the award.

I also can't say enough about Kevin Spacey's performance. The man is perfect. And Chris Cooper did not get nearly enough credit for his brilliant portrayal. A remarkable film that will forever be one of my favorites and I'll never forget how I felt the first time I saw it.

For those of you who will watch it for the first time, I envy you your experience.
