Saying American Beauty is a masterpiece would be an understatement. American Beauty is an absolutely flawless film. Everything about it is perfect; the writing, the acting, the execution, hell, even the camera angles.
Kevin Spacey, as always, steals the show as the down-on-his-luck, depressed Everyman, who eventually gets tired of the crap and does what everyone dreams of-- explodes. Not only that, but he falls deeply in love with his daughter's friend, Angela.
As said before, American Beauty is flawless. It deserves all the praise it receives, and everyone should see it.
