Review of American Beauty (1999) by Alex T — 23 Jun 2015

I was amazed at how much I liked this film. I've always liked Kevin Spacey, and always been terrified of Suburbia, so this film truly hit home. It's amazing how Sam Mendes takes such a realistic plot with unrealistic sounding relationships, and makes them work together.

The visual feel of the film is equally fantastic, with its prominent uses of the color red. It truly was deserving of the Oscars that it won.
