Review of American Beauty (1999) by Ethanstapley — 15 Dec 2017
At first it was a bit weird watching Kevin Spacey gawk at his teenage daughters best friend as I am watching this post-Spacey allegations however, the film really kicked off for me when that creepiness went away.
The cast is absolutely sublime with Wes Bentley's enigmatic character a particular highlight and of course prime Spacey. It's darkly funny and utterly compelling with a belter of an ending. A classic and I feel it will be immensely rewatchable.
