Stunning film about suburban father who responds lecherly to his daughter's best friend. His fantasies drive him into a wall of imagination, one that's biased and corrupted. Modest, honest movie deals with modest and honest people, who cross over into the darkest areas of "ordinary" life. Spacey's performance is one of the all-time best in history; he won a richly deserved Oscar. Thunderstorm sequence and denouement are wows! Other Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Script, Cinematography.
