Review of American Beauty (1999) by Jason M — 07 Feb 2016

An unpopular opinion to a wildly popular film, but I was not really a fan. The film tells the inside story of a "white picket fence" perfect family's actual life, which was horrendously dysfunctional. The film lays a little bit of information in creative ways telling you about the story, but honestly I was never able to connect myself to the story or the characters. I also didn't think Spacey's award winning performance was that good until the very end.

It was only alright and good for one viewing.
