Review of American Assassin (2017) by Tom B — 14 Sep 2017
This film is not even remotely similar to Vince Flynn's book of the same title and he would be greatly disheartened by how the producers and director chose to portray it. And even if one had never read the books, it would still be hard to sit through this film.
The acting is terrible and the plot is shallow. In essence this is an A to Z movie where the "Good" guys win in the end. Because of all of the film's shortcomings and the almost total divergence from the book, I would wait until it debuted on Pay-Per-View.
Don't waste your time or money to see it in theatre.
