Review of American Assassin (2017) by Abe T — 06 Oct 2017
The first five minutes of "American Assassin" is both frightening and graphical violence of innocents killed by terrorists; impactful given the times we are living in in 2017.
It sets the foundations to a full-on action film which introduces to us a new hero akin to James Bond and Jason Bourne - he is Mitch Rapp, the angry man turn CIA agent.
Dylan O'Brien as Rapp is a fresh present-day hero that many will relate to as he looks like one of us. It is action packed with commanding performances by Mike Keaton and Taylor Kitsch.
At the end I was very impressed and as there is 16 books with this character, I look forward to the sequels!
I rate it 3 out of 5.
