Review of America The Beautiful (2008) by Amanda S — 16 Apr 2010
I really enjoy watching informative films which dare to present dissenting perspectives on social issues, and this is a very good example of one. As scary as it sounds, it reflects a reality in which all of us take part into, one way or another.
The global approach to the issue is equally relevant; the comparison between breast implants and genital mutilation is long time overdue in the conversation; plastic surgery and cosmetics in general are openly exposed.
A must-watch for any concerned parent who wishes to encourage future generations to emancipate from shallow beauty ideas.
