Self-serving, stupid and downright incorrect. People like Dinesh D'Souza represent everything that's wrong with American exceptionalism, he completely side steps, white washes or downright ignores the dark times America has gone through and only focuses on the good illustrating his intellectual dishonesty and bias against anyone who corrects him or says otherwise.
