Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by John N — 10 Jul 2014
This is a great movie. Well produced. Emotionally and intellectually engaging. Inspiring. A much needed reality check for our times. Fair in that it fully states both sides of the critical issues it represents. It is isn't polarizing, like much of the political discourse of the day, because it is clear from the start that the producers of this movie want to inspire, not tear down.
There was no demonizing of the other side, like you might see in a Michael Moore documentary. Interviews of left wing critics of America (the nation) are conducted with respect. I came way liking these people, but rejecting their ideas. I find objections to the linking of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to radical left wing elements as disingenuous simply because this is what documentaries are supposed to do: document and educate. I appreciated D'Souza's commitment to stay focused on the facts. This is a thoroughly documented, artfully produced work. Hats off to Gerald Molen for another outstanding production. Two thumbs way up!
