Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by Omar G — 27 Jul 2014
Very entertaining and truthful account of history the way it was taught when I was in college studying to teach history. The writer, directors, producers did a superb job of sharing information the way Hollywood does best -with a camera.
It may not get race reviews because it isn't popular to make a movie without sex, gore and profanity but we have lost sight of the truth. When I was in school, Alexis de Tocqueville 'Democracy in America' was required reading.
This movie should be required in academic curriculum today. Go see it. Step out of your comfort zone and learn something that you didn't know before. You'll be learning from Mr. D'Souza, a legal Indian immigrant who came to this country in 1978 because he knew it was the greatest country on earth.
He explains it well and his words command respect for both his talent and the country he honors. His country, America. I'm grateful he is a fellow American.
