Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by Jeff J — 29 Oct 2014
Wow. Must see. I was imagining Paul Harvey saying "and now you know -- the rest of the story." A vital narrative that must be told in this age of lies, deception, politicizing history, and false self condemnation.
D'Souza gives the substantial impression of fairness and not denying the areas we have stumbled as a country as we found our way while at the same time inviting a clarifying look at our true history, as well as touching on why there are those who have done much to rewrite history to convince America's own people that you and I are villains.
In reality the subject matter of this movie should probably be a college course, as the constraints of a theatrical movie only allow time to briefly touch on some very large topics. I have found that, often, the really meaningful movies have a low "critic" review and a high "user" review; not surprisingly, this movie is no exception.
