Review of Amélie (2001) by Rich C — 25 Sep 2011
Amelie is a heavily saturated, hyper film about an outcast who needs to learn to be open up before finding happiness. The first third of the film is a bit spastic and unsure about where it wants to go but once it settles down it becomes a lot more involving.
The editing an cinematography are both very disorienting most of the time, but it adds to the experience.
