Review of Amélie (2001) by Jason C — 05 Jun 2012
A super-adorable French offering, Amelie is a love story that is well written, wonderfully paced and very colorful. There is nothing about this film I don't love. It's narrated so well.
Audrey Tautou is the cutest little actress. She does a great job of bringing her character to life. The entire supporting cast does their job superbly also. Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet has other very wonderful movies, such as Micmacs, Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children. He's a great director. But I'll go ahead and predict this will be the greatest work of his career.
It's over 90% positive rating by both critics and users alike, and I'd say a must see by everyone who wants a positive little film that is very imaginative.
