Audrey Tautou rocked the show as Amelie. Loved the way she played the character with zest and charisma. The movie was so imaginative; the fantasy sequences were great visual treats! Loved the OST. As a comedy, I'm afraid I only giggled a few times.
As a romance, I didn't find it very appealing. As a combination of the 2, there was a little something there. I cannot honestly say I loved the story, but like so many of my now favourite films, I'll probably have to see it again to have a greater appreciation for its narrative.
I guess it was too well written to be understood in one go (for me, that is). To be continued...
