If you are a pilot you will find this film totally irritating. There are two stories in Amelia Earhart, the story of her lovelife and the story of her aviation accomplishments, this film addresses the first.
Technical implausibilities abound and leaves all aspects of the story non-credible; despite having some really beautiful aircraft at their disposal to film they didn't seem to retain any advisors on set who knew anything about the technology at the centre of the story.
If you fly you you will spend the whole movie saying "But it just doesn't work like that.".
