Review of Amelia (2009) by Kate C — 17 Mar 2010

It was okay. To be honest, I was very much looking forward to seeing this, but I was greatly disappointed. The acting and cinematography were both fine, the directing was just so-so, but the film was most lacking in plot.

It centered too much on her relationship drama between her husband and Gene and not near enough on her life and accomplishments itself. If I had not been a bit of an Earhart expert before seeing this, I would have been dreadfully confused as to when all of her journeys took place, who she was with, and what she actually did first, second, or just at all.

I expected more.
