Review of Amber Alert (2012) by Joshua D — 27 Mar 2015

I have to give it a 2 out of a five and here's why. As I was preparing to watch this film around two in the morning last night, I fell asleep, woke up to try again but fell quickly back to sleep. So I insisted on watching it again around 9 AM today, I did and I absolutely hated it.

I seriously doubt, if you have his phone number, his face on camera, his car ID and license plate, they would allow you to follow a car for hours. "we're having all calls out." So let me get this straight, in your entire city where you're currently at there's not ONE patrol car available? They're all arresting people this very moment? What a great city to have a heist in! Honestly, the other part I had strong dislike for was the moronic lead cast members, the only one that was convincing in this film was the pedophile himself! Nate? Nate was the chubby dude's name correct? Could he be anymore annoying? "Oh im gonna get a ticket for this" You're chasing a car with a kidnapped girl in it, and you're worried about a damn ticket? Look if you want to watch a good thriller about kidnapped children if that's your thing, I'd suggest "Prisoners" That movie had a lot of things that this film did not, such as art, raw talent, beauty, fear, anxiety, hatred, love, you could feel their very emotions as if you were sitting by them, while "Amber Alert" was like if you ate a pepperoni pizza and you could instantly feel the heartburn.

Hearing the little girl talk on the radio, and the things he explained he was bound to do, did make me uneasy that's the only part I did feel they did a good job. Oh yeah Gas Station, a normal person would say hey this guy kidnapped a little girl can you help apprehend him?? Point is please, by the love of good films do not waste eighty minutes of your life on this horrible film, what sucks is this film had such great potential because of the vigilante justice, but just like The purge, Great plot no execution.
