Review of Amazon Women on the Moon (1987) by Michael G — 01 Aug 2009
Much funnier than Landis's first sketch movie, the Kentucky Fried Movie. The laughs are sustained and varied. A lot of sight gags and hilarious premises make it laugh-a-minute. The titular sketch, a send up of 1950s low-budget sci-fi, is hilarious, but the best turns of all are Ed Begley Jr's riotous "Son of the Invisible Man" and the Carrie Fisher/Paul Bartel "social education" film right at the end of the film.
