Review of Amarcord (1973) by William C — 29 Mar 2009
Proves (to me at least) yet again that the Italians are years ahead on aesthtic and visual mastery and invention. The first Fellini film I have seen. Its quirky, weird, visually stunning and highly watchable.
Fellini is obviously using his past experiences to push the narrative along to excellent effect. Score is superb also.
