Review of Amarcord (1973) by Adam O — 30 Oct 2013
While it is beautifully shot and sometimes funny, amarcord was fairly tedious and difficult to finish. the scene with the uncle who climbed up a tree and wouldn't come down seemed to go on forever.
the overall tone was incredibly sentimental, yet the characters all feel fairly empty. entertaining overall, but could definitely stand to be a bit shorter.
