Review of Amanda Knox (2016) by James L — 01 Oct 2016
This didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know, but I enjoyed the one-on-one interviews with its subjects. I found the movie to be rightly damning of the media circus and the creepy Italian sexism surrounding this case.
I was especially appalled by the head investigator, who seems more interested in the fame, glory and wistful comparisons to Sherlock Holmes than he is finding a truthful conclusion. I wish they went slightly more into the details of the trials, I know I read plenty of fascinating articles at the time and I would have liked to have seen some of those details rehashed here.
All in all, a good summation of the entire ordeal and perhaps a sort of redo of media coverage as it should have been from the start.
