Review of Amadeus (1984) by Carlos Y — 28 Dec 2011
"You choose for your instrument a boastful, lustful, smutty infantile boy...and give me for reward only the ability to recognize the incarnation. Because you are unjust, unfair, unkind, I will block you. I swear it. I will hinder and harm your creature as far as I am able. I will ruin your incarnation".
We saw two points of view, Salieri's jealousy of Mozart's great talent and Mozart's ignorance of his talent. The film show how hate, lust and the search of greatness can destroy the heart. The film brings the life of one of the greatest composers through the eyes of the man who wanted his talent and hated him the most. We saw the fall of two men in a film with great perspective thanks to an amazing cast, great costumes, sets, incredible music and a versatil direction.
