Amadeus would have been another perfect film if Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wasn't so silly and childish. His puny laugh is very annoying to listen to and makes for some very unevenly balanced scenes. But Amadeus Is a Terrifying Sublime look at Mozart's life note by note from birth to death. The opera music is incredible and scary. When you look at the scenery in the background of the opera a strange feel goes beating through your heart which is a thing I never felt in a film. Not even a horror film. This film is accurate for most of the time. The music is the main showstopper because of all the performences in the film. There was not one opera performence I did not like. One of the best scenes of the film is where Mozart is being assisted by Salleri as he writes down the notes of his next opera. The coustumes and set decoration is wonderful giving a candy like feel. I loved Amadeus, but Amadeus himself in the film possibly couldn't be that silly in real life.

99/100 A.
