Review of Amadeus (1984) by Jakub M — 04 Aug 2012
A symphony of music and picture. Colorful life of, as perceived by Forman, first ever pop-culture star. Great cast and scenograhy puts you as a observer of rise and fall of Mozart through most important parts of his life.
We can see his genius at work, admire his devotion and, finally weep as he passes away. I didn't expected to be so emotionally involved in that movie, yet Forman makes the audiance of this movie a friend-esque character and makes a kind of special bond between us and his motion picture that, although movie is almost 3 hours long, makes us involved in all of the interactions on-screen despise the lack of acton sequences.
A great movie, great biography movie.
