Review of Amadeus (1984) by Tino R — 23 Feb 2011
Have you ever had an interest in a movie and held off on seeing it because you fear that you wouldn't like it? That was the case for me with this film. But my oh my, this is a perfect film. Genuinely beautiful and emotionally involving throughout.
To call this movie epic and extravagant is an understatement LOL, each and every shot, costume and the sets are visually grand and the music is undoubtedly sweeping. The acting was fantastic, both played brilliant men but what Tom Hulce did with Mozart; who would of thought he was so off color haha, and the best performance of the film by F.
Murray Abraham, he did a great job as Salieri; he played the character with such empathy: it was powerful. Well made in every respect, if you have the patience then with out a doubt see this.
