I rated this movie 4 stars not because I believe it's excellent Speilberg (it isn't) but because I've judged it according to how much I like seeing it again and again.
The performances by Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter (always entrancing to watch), and John Goodman are great and the movie has some beautiful moments. Brad Johnson's performance as the new man in Holly Hunter's life is the only sour note. He left very little of an impression.
Like Ground Hog Day this movie seems better and better with each repeat.
