Review of Always (1989) by Aya V — 08 Feb 2009
I just watched it for the second time. This is not one of the most popular or well recieved Spielberg film, at the time no one could take a "grown up" Spielberg film seriously and today it's over shadowed by ghost, even though it was done before and is much better.
Yes it is very very kitch and cheesyl but it works. It works better then Ghost, it is much more naive and gentle and less obviously sexy Maybe it's not Spielberg's masterpiece but it is yet another proof of his brilliance, and his ability to handle a great veriaty of subject with care and sensitivity that only he has.
