Review of Always (1989) by Jexy G — 10 Jun 2009
So this is why Spielberg likes Richard Dreyfuss. He is great in this movie, and Holly Hunter does a fine job as well. It doesn't quite have the same sentimental moments as the original (A Guy Named Joe), but you feel it just the same because of the actors.
A quality romantic comedy, and although it was a pretty cool transition from the WWII setting in the original and to fighting fires with planes from that era in this movie, it looses a half star in the cool & entertainment factor.
This is about as exciting as you could make this job on film be though.
