Review of Always (1989) by Troy F — 05 Jan 2014
Always is like the more popular film Ghost... except, well, better. It's a real soft film and its a bit touchy, but at the same time its so admirable and you can't help but let yourself get sucked into it.
Richard Dreyfuss's presence is a kind soul that's hard not to like, backed by a great cast. It's a sad and good feeling film, I really can't say much else. It works, and its definitely a classic from Spielberg that goes quite a bit under the radar.
Ghost was a hit primarily cause Patrick Swayze's was a hunk at the time, Always does the same thing but feels more rewarding and heartfelt.
