Review of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (2009) by Matthew P — 09 Sep 2013
They took everything from the original and both took out the good and made the bad stuff worse. the animation is where they spent there increase budget to the point that the animation has lost its charm or is just plain discussing to watch.
the pop culture and the movie references are only designed for adults and teens. the refences to movies (like silence of the lambs, dodgeball, and taxi driver) just dont fit. the promise of the chipmunks vs chipettes that the trailer promises never happens disappointing long term fans.
lastly the characters are so wrong. Britteny and alven's personalities got switched (i dont know why), Jennette lost her klutz, and alvin is awful putting 2 in the hospital. do not watch.
