Review of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015) by Frederic C. B — 26 Apr 2016
The Good:
Despite being unfavorable to most critics, this is still an entertaining and fun family movie, especially for fans of the franchise. The song performances are irresistible as always. There are neat emotional moments, in particular in their bonding with Miles. The heartwarming ending in the Courthouse is a must watch for fans of the previous titles, or the franchise.
The Not-so-Good:
The plot is basically a repeat/rehash of the basic formula of previous movies, just with different settings. The lack of Chipettes kind of drowns down the excitement a bit. Agent Suggs is too over-the-top and one dimensional character.
