Review of Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman (2000) by Chad H — 27 Oct 2012
Okay this one is a little worse than usual. Its the same Alvin and Chipmunk style, same voice talents same lovable characters. However when compared to "Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein" in such that the animation seems a bit downgraded which is unfortunate. It just does not have a great flow. Its still fun for the kids, just not as much. Its a tad slow and does not have as many memorable moments as its previous movie.
It just seems as if this one fell short. A little bit of a rehashing on a classic movie monster tale.
Overall its just bland and okay, nothing memorable, nothing really interesting or... just anything really.
Its definitely geared towards the kids, but it seems as if even the kids might be a little bored at this bland one. Its not totally bad, its just a bit slow and daunting at times and that is never a good thing.
In short..
It centers around Theodore one of the more lovable, and friendly chipmunks and his story which is nice. It stays keen to the classic ideas of the Universal Wolfman.
It has some fun moments, but packed with a few bland ones.
If you like the chipmunks, go and pick this one up, Its definitely for any chipmunk fan, but otherwise steer clear of this one.
