Review of Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) by Jonny B — 16 Feb 2012
While Alvin and the Chipmunks may seem an enjoyable premise at first, DO NOT BE FOOLED by the cuteness of the chipmunks because after about 10 minutes of irritation you'll want to forget watching the rest of the movie!
Don't get me wrong I love animals. Most animals mind and not the big grisly things. But when you have three adorable chipmunks who speak like they've inhaled a handsome amount of helium for the whole duration this is kind of cute. For the first FEW MINUTES! Then once they introduce themselves with their cute voice and appearance you might as well switch the film off!
From the start you can tell this is strictly a KIDS ONLY film where the civilians above the age of 10 should leave immediately! After the chipmunks introduction then all there is left to do is listen to some helium struck chipmunks attempt to form a pop group. Perfect film for the kids really but everyone else beware!
