The chipmunks might find themselves being praised in the pre-adolescent crowd. But they might find themselves dead in the adult section. Allot of kid humor and the story is pretty monotonous. There are plenty of "cute" parts of the film.
And why do I quote the "cute"? Because the kids might find it cute, but it might cause insanity for adults. In conclusion, Alvin and the Chipmunks was meant only for the kids and will satisfy only few adults.
