Review of Altered States (1980) by Michael B — 26 Jun 2008
This movie annoyed me. The characters were unlikable. The premise was stupid. The director apparently hated the dialogue because much of it was spoken rapidly, incomprehensibly, and simultaneously. The surreal psychedelic scenes were far too long and poorly done to be enjoyable.
I've seen better, similar movies: 2001, The Fly, Videodrome, and Iron Man Tetsuo.
